makes a shutter noise.? I took it to the dealer i bought it from and they said the brakes were rubbing the rust and thats why there is a noise. I feel that I'm getting the run around because I'm a female. What should I do??

Your 2002 Explorer is equipped with a Traction-Lok rear differential by the sounds of things. This means there are clutchpacks in the differential carrier that "lock" or limit the slip between the two axle shafts on turning maneuvers in order to give you better traction on slippery road surfaces. A little bit of chattering on turns is to be expected on this type of setup. If it is excessive, you may need to have the clutchpacks in the rear differential replaced and shimmed properly. Hope this helps.
