the wires are copper and the old clamps are copper and it worked fine when i put the new battery in it worked good until i over tightened one and ripped it. i got new ones but they look steel , i did not think it was a problem until it would ot start.i clipped the old cords back to
where they were not rusted. i tryed to jump it just to see what happened my jumper cables should have light up when attached it did not happin. help me out if you know anything
