Not quite sure this goes under life sucks. But it will if it leads to health issues which supposedly it should. I can't sleep at all. Rarely slept before and I was tired to the utmost degree. Now I can't sleep AT ALL and am quite energetic...wtf?

second wind. get some sleeping pills. ya right area for your post though. there's lots of people in here who don't sleep too often, so you're in the right place anyways.

You should start seeing stuff after 3 days of no sleep. so enjoy because you might have some friends that nobody else sees if you know what I mean. aka. Fight Club- the movie. when the guy had a made up friend because he couldn't sleep. life is a bitch.

Don't watch TV, don't sit on the computer...infact, don't do anything that involoves looking at a screen. Try reading a book, and you'll fall asleep automatically. When i say book, I mean like uuhhh something boring, like bioethics ( or something equally boring).

Hope you fall asleep.

One Word, Two Syllables....

XANAX.

not only will you sleep. you will fall into a very deep REM stage. which is what your body needs right now. Stop drinking colas, coffee, tea or any drugs that might be the underlining cause of this issue.

Good luck!

PS.. if you're a Male, try masturbation or having sex. or eat some turkey. all these things induce high levels of tryptophan.

i once had a problem like that... it really help to take some Benatril before you go to sleep. it pretty much knocks you out :]

the only reason i have this problem now is because i stay up until 2 playing my 360... that's why im failing World History:sad:

SLEEP IS IMPORTANT!!!

I've found that getting some chamomile tea or some kind of inscents really does well. Lavender works pretty well too..just anything that gives off a sleepy "aura" to it. Wow. I sound like a hippy. But anyway, if that doesn't work, lay down, put on some informercials, and try to keep track of every number in sequential order that appears. I did that once and I passed out for like 10-12 hours. 'Twas great.

No, Its strongly suggested that you dont excersize 5 hours prior to sleep. it boosts your adrenaline.

Benedril is highly addictive. Worst thing to get hooked on. Your body wont sleep if you become dependant on taking them for sleep. Plus, Benedril is like drinking alcohol. Huge hangovers. at least for me and people I know.

certain teas, warm milk, masturbation or slow sex, and of course xanax will do the trick. But xanax can be taken safely if you take .25mg (thats 1/4 of 1mg). It isnt addictive at that levels and if taken 2 hours prior to desired sleep time, it will kick in. if you're still wired, take a whole .5 mg. You will get knocked out and it wears off after 6 hours so you're not that groggy in the morning.

ween yourself off once you get your normal sleeping pattern back.

Umm, unless you live in the artic, thats not going to help the average person in the 21st century. lack of sound can be very loud in one persons head. some people need a little noise and small amounts of light to feel comfortable enough to sleep.

Especially if you grew up in a big city like New York or LA.

I'd rather not sleep for days on end than get the sleep I do. I go to sleep, then wake up hundreds of times so that when I have to drag myself out of bed for they day, I've basically not slept anyway.
