I have to do a school debate? Any opinions or arguments about the statement?

Statement -- 'Turning 18 is the best way to measure being an adult'
My group is affirmative (agree). I need some supporting arguments and some opposing ones so that I can argue against what the opposing team will say.

Any ideas?

We have already come up with..
-Legally you are a adult.
-You can do nearly everything at the age of 18.

If you were to be in the opposing team (disagreeing with the statement) What arguments would you use?

I MOSTLY NEED AFFIRMATIVE ARGUMENTS BECAUSE I HAVE NO IDEAS!!
