I have this weird right sided lower back of skull headache...?

I sprained my neck about a year ago, ever since then, my neck has never been the same. The problem is, is that I keep getting this knot/painful headache on the right side of my lower skull. After I sprained my neck, this pain occured and I got an MRI, everything looked fine. Now a year later, this pain woke me up last night and nothing seems to help..ice and heat help for about 10 minutes then its back. The pressure is horrible..any ideas?
