...drive stopped working!? I want to play SO MUCH but I have a Mac so to get a new optical drive, I have to send it in to Apple and pay them $300. My boyfriend downloaded a "No DVD patch" torrent-thing for Open For Business, but he said to backup my files before installing it.

My questions are: How do I backup Sims 2 data? And will this work, since I already have Open For Business on my computer. (I have a Mac, btw.)
Will a no dvd patch work even if I have the game installed already??
 
back up your entire drive. or you can go to the installation directory and copy all the files and archive them (.rar .7z etc.)
it should work, but since your using a mac, it may not

edit: forgot to mention that you can just buy an external disk drive, some are under $80, or do it yourself (google is your best friend)
