i have terrible credit, and cant save much money. how do i get a car worth driving?

i have debt at about 20k from school, 6k for a light pole i hit 4k hospital bills, 1k rehab, 1k fines, i'm drowning and just need a reliable way to work, bus is out of the q, as is rides from co-workers.
