Under the clutch basket and housing is another cog that is joined to a cam. This cam goes through the engine casing to the other side which can be seen under the magneto. Both ends of this cam have a half circle metal plate. I think it would be setup like this for balancing reason whilst he cam spins. My question i what is this cam for? There is a small oil pump that has been disconected so im thinking it could be for that but really have no idea?? The engine is two stroke and also has a power valve at the front. I think the RM motor is much the same? Another thing i noticed is it has a small hole in the cylinder head on the exsaust side of the barrel, what is its purpose?
