I have suggestions to join facebook groups, but I click on them and wind up on

my profile page, why? Sometimes I get an email that says "(someone on my friends list) thinks that you would like (some page or group). However, I click on that link and it sends me to my facebook start page. Why does this happen? I don't think it's spam since the suggestions come from my friends, maybe the pages group or pages have been deleted? Thanks
