I have speakers in my ceiling that were built with the house that wont go loud....

...How do i make them louder? The two speakers in the ceiling of my room are weired down to a audio plug in my wall.
The plug is the same type of plug u use for ur head phones.
Do i need a special type of amp
How much will this cost
