I have some weird spots appear on my tongue?

I recently got over tonsillitis and quinsy, but about 2 or 3 days after my quinsy had cleared up i looked at my tongue in the mirror and see about 20 - 30 little pink spots from the middle to the back of my tongue i ignored them because they wasn't causing me any pain but now woke up today and there must be about 50 of them still from the middle of my tongue to the back any ideas on what it could be? i really dont want to go back to the doctors because it will be the 3rd time in 3 weeks
