So apparently I was ordered a subpoena the other day....
I no longer live with my mother, nor do I speak to her, but I found out from my cousin I received a subpoena. But because my mom and I aren't talking, and because she's evil, she refused to tell my cousin or anyone else what the subpoena said (and I know for a fact she opened it because one, she's incredibly nosy, and two she told my cousin so.)
This may not have any relevance but she has narcissistic personality disorder, and she just likes to mess with me, I know she's doing this on purpose.
So what can be done? I don't know what the court date is, and I have absolutely no idea what it could possibly be for.
I know that tampering with others mail is a federal offense, and I had to have been served or someone should've signed for it....but not living there, my mother shouldn't have signed for it or opened it right? Anyways, I want to find out what the subpoena was all about, how can I do so if she refuses to give away any information?
Also, I just moved to LA from SF, so I'm assuming that it was something that happened in SF but not sure.
Can I only go to the clerks office in SF to get a copy?
