My wrangler (97 Sport 4.0L with 5-speed manual) will not start when it is cold unless I push the gas pedal and then once it starts it will not idle and just stalls out whenever I take my foot off the gas in neutral or with the clutch depressed. Once it warms up to normal operating temperature, it will idle fine no matter what I do.
Originally this was the case, but after a few days of driving it around trying to figure out what's wrong, the car began to idle sporadically when it still hasn't warmed up at around 2-300 RPM some of the time or at the normal idle speed some of the time, but continues to stall some of the time too. Once it warms up it works fine.
I replaced the IAC and checked the hoses, but the car still won't idle correctly. The car runs fine when hot, which is what puzzles me so much. The check engine light never comes on, and the car doesn't spit out any codes so I don't have any idea what this could be!
Thanks for your help in advance!
