I have one year contract at a gym and I want to end it to go a cheaper one, how?

I want to end my contract (one year and has 7 months remaining) at the gym I go to as there is another one is a lot cheaper. They told me if I move I can end my contract, but I didn't. Can someone suggest how can I end my contract ?
What if I close my bank account or change my account number ?
And would that affect my credit score ?
