I have old and poorly scanned photo's?

It's too bad you can't scan them again. Modern Flatbed scanners like the Epson V500 and V700 do a wonderful job with photographs.

these a pictures of family from 60 yrs ago. this will be my only copy. my great uncle will never let the originals be scanned ever again or even be looked at. what can I do to make them at least visible with the naked eye. is there a software program? can I send them to someone?
