What are the realities of promoting myself to groups in the area and asking for donations toward my education? I would probably create some type of bulletin board about myself, my artwork (I'm going to Photography School) and the tuition details. I would find groups where I can explain myself and basically ask for money. Much like non profit organizations do.
I work 4 jobs, my family will not pay anything towards my education. I have no disabilities or hardships and I'm not a minority so I cannot play any of those cards
Basically theres nothing wrong with me that would make people feel bad to inspire them to give me money
What are some factors I need to consider before doing this?
Also, would you say this is degrading?
