I have no experience what type of sport bike should i buy?

look i have just graduated from a military school in kansas i go to marine corps basic in a little over three months i wanna get a sports bike because i love thrills and i love to just get up and go although i am a bit of a dare devil i do not wish to kill myself im 18 and have never driven a sports bike ive been on them and loved them what is a good bike to keep me from killing myself and how will i teach myself to drive it ive been looking at a Ninja 650r
