barely even a sport? Ok, I'm a New York Yankee fan in Bronx, NY. I was excited and I cheered for the 27th championship of the Yanks. I used to play little league and a little in highschool. I was a big baseball fan, and played alot during the summer. However, the games with friends have gotten increasingly boring. For one thing it's hard to set up a baseball game.
You need a bat or two
gloves for atleast 7-9 players
and space for a clear infield and outfield
This is not always possible making it hard to play baseball just for fun. Football has been much easier to play and alot more satisfying and enjoyable. Basketball is another sport that is relatively easy to set up. Soccer is another example as well.
One thing that really bothers me about baseball is that it doesn't involve every player at the same time. Which makes it harder for every person playing to enjoy the game. I feel bad when I see friends standing in their position and nothing going their way.
Games like Football, soccer and basketball are fast paced and involve every player at all times.
Another thing about baseball is that there are now tricks to pull off or they are useless and are rarely needed. Where as Soccer has juggling, juking, spins etc... Football has jukes, spins, trucks. Basketball has ball handling tricks, such as dribbling. Baseball has nothing like that. Which is why highlights for baseball games are boring.
For example Youtube, Alex Rodriguez, or Albert Pujols and then Youtube Cristiano Ronaldo, Lebron James, Adrian Peterson.
Baseball highlights are largely just hitting the ball and homeruns.
I wish I had never invested so much of my time on baseball and had stuck to the real sports such as Basketball, Football, and my new favorite Soccer.
Note that I was born in the US, New York. Raised to like baseball and have almost just fully realized how much baseball sucks and good thing it's declining.
