i have kinky curly roots and wavy ends! what do i do to make it the same texture?

my roots of my hair are very very curly and course and then the ends of my hair are wavy. it goes from kinky curly to almost strait and it looks weird! will my roots grow out and be wavier or am i going to have two different texture for ever?!
