I have experienced writer's block before, but THIS TIME just feels weird....?

I've had this story stuck in my head since October, but it only comes to me in bits and pieces.

I'm not exactly sure what the plot is, but I DO know that it's going to consist of a lot of visual descriptions into the mind of an isolate individual.

That's really all I know. This probably isn't much help to you, but why can't I just write this story?

Something has been stopping me from writing it and I can't figure out why!!! Is this just a different form of writer's block?
