if you have cherry bombs on it, they are not much different than straight pipes so the sound change wouldn't really be caused by them. if you have actual mufflers as well, one of those may have a baffle broke inside. the sound might be caused by a slight difference in exhaust pressure as well. I doubt that it is really anything major.
