away..But the seat wont budge? I bought it off a guy who bought it as a "Whim" he used it twice to cycle to work and back.. The "novelty" wore off..He put the bicycle in his shed and left it there for years.
For some reason the seat height adjuster has bonded SOLID to the frame. It wont move for love or for money..
How can I free the seat height adjuster..
I have used spray on WD-40 etc etc.. It wont move a inch
Thank you for your answers
Have a good day.

I come from a seafaring family and if any of the bolts became rusted solid on the ship the engineers used to pour neat Coca Cola on them and leave for a while. 9 times out of 10 it worked.
Try it, it won't hurt anything.
ps.
Brill for cleaning badly stained loo bowls aswell.

Hope it helps

Sawing it off is a last resort because you still have to get the rest of the stem out. The cola trick is no lie though! Cheap diet cola burns through rust with minimum sticky residue.

Try squirting some WD40 down the seat tube and turning the bike upside down. If you can't free the seat by normal means you'll have to use the heat method - be careful not to damage the frame.
