your laptop? i have a laptop but no way to get online, so this is music to my ears to hear i can hook my iphone up and use it as a modem....question is how do i do this? and does it cost extra? i have unlimited data plan on my iphone by the way...also could anyone tell me how to use wii-fi, every connection (even mcdonalds) asks for a security code, how do i use this too?
 
If you are in the US then you can't use your iphone as a modem unless it's jailbroken phone. They allow this in some other countries but it does cost extra. AT&T is supposed to make this available but they still haven't done so. Not sure about your wifi issue. I have never been prompted for a password at a mcdonalds, burger king, etc...I would ask someone at the counter what the passcode is.
