I was originally on a 15 hour contract and then agreed with my manager to change to a 10 hour contract however she did not inform HR and i continued to receive my normal pay although i worked less hours. Now the company wants payment for the past 6 months which is 120 hours worth i have been overpaid. I genuinely wasn't aware i was being overpaid and im frustrated that by my previous managers error i have to repay. Do i have a leg to stand on regarding refusing repaying?
