weeks I will be moving house.? One of the young Blackbirds from last year has been coming in the garden every day to feed and he also waits for me to ( during the frost ) get rid of the ice and fill the bird bath every day.I presume that he will be bringing his young to my garden as he was brought here last year with his family to feed as he has been seeing off all of the other Blackbirds. I know I may sound really sad to some people, but I feel like I am deserting them as I always say to people that if they start to feed the birds in their garden they must do it regularly.
Do I just stop feeding them when I leave or cut down the food gradually. I have Goldfinches, Reed Buntings other types of finches and loads of others.
