I have an old power mac g3?

and I'm wondering if i should install OS X 10.3, even though i can't get the install disks to boot or, should i install some sort of Linux. I'm hoping to create low-tech server, but Linux has few well known programs and OS X is easier to use and has better programs. I only have 128mb of ram. What should i do?
