from car expert? I have a 1997 Nissan Altima that I bought I do not have that much money and really can not afford a car payment my plan is to have it re-painted, and have the inside stripped and re done the carpet is heavily soiled and the seats are pretty dirty too I would like to have the carpet re-done and the covering done in leather. The engine does not sound too good either I plan to buy a brand new or rebuild engine and replace the entire engine, transmission but I want to know if it's worth it putting so much money into it I am a single and really can not afford a car payment as much as I would love a newer car and eventually when I can then I can sell it and get something a little new cash of course. I just am not sure considering that it's a 97 and if anyone would want to later buy such and old car. It is however GREAT on gas someone let me know who knows about cars.
off the top of my head I don't know but I want to say its around 100,000 and I have 4,000 from my income tax that I plan to put twords my car because like I said before I don't want a car payment at this time put I want the car to be in pretty good shape also the body is in need of help and it really does need a new paint job I'm not just wanting to paint it.
Oh yea and I have already tried to clean the carpet with everything even with gain and a little bleach no luck at all. I did look up new carpeting for cars on the internet a while back and it's really not that expensive its about 100 bucks vs taking my car to a detail shop and spending a good 40-50 bucks and the stains probably aren't going to come out for 50 bucks more I get new clean carpet
