i have an old akai big screen tv and a toshiba laptop 2 or 3 years old that

i want to hook up to my akai tv? i am brain dead when it comes to anything about a laptop or hooking anything up with wires or cables i need any help but in lay mans terms please my laptop has a RGB monitor port (network port that i use to get on line ) 3 USB ports and a modem port so how do i get started to hook up my laptop to my akai tv thanks larry
