I have an appointment in about a week and a half and i want to know the sex of my

baby!!!? However my Dr. told me he didn't want to do another ultrasound to tell me the sex until im 24 almost 25 weeks! ill be right at 16 weeks at my appointment and its killing me to find out! Is there any way i can find out? Its my first pregnancy and i just cant wait to know! I know its silly to most people, after all its not that long to wait! But to me it seems like im never going to know! Is there anything i can say or do to be able to find out the sex before then! My friend got an ultrasound done because the baby was moving alot and he wanted to see it, so that's how she found out and i have an active baby so im hoping he does the same for me! but i want to know if there is a way to find out or get him to tell me or do an ultrasound earlier!!!

A 3D/4D ultrasound can detect the sex starting at 15 weeks. It ranges from about $90 - $200 depending on how long you want the session to be. At 15 weeks the baby doesn't have fat deposits and the main thing you would want the ultrasound is for the gender so the cheaper might be a better option. Then, when you are in the 30+ week area go for a better package. That was my plan except I won't have the extra money for another week or so and I will find out for free at the doctors office about a week after that. So i'm waiting but I am for sure going to get one done later in my pregnancy.

Check your benefits - some insurance companies pay for the 4D ultrasound - mine will only do it if the ultrasound is medically necessary - gender isn't! Bummer!
