The Cussins And Fearn Company was based out of Columbus Ohio in the early 1900's. The stores were located throughout the state of Ohio, beginning in approximately 1927 (all though possibly earlier, finding records that old is a pain in the neck when it comes to places no longer in business). Cussins and Fearn later grew into other stores known as Buckeye Mart. They later merged with Tempo Division and formed the Tempo-Buckeye Stores. Those stores not onl were in Ohio, but also expanded west ward, with stores in places as far west as Wyoming and New Mexico. They also owned Rasco-Tempo stores, which opened in Sacramento, California.

5 of the Buckeye Mart stores in Ohio closed in the mid 1970s. The reamining ones sold in the late 1970s to Fisher's Big Wheel and were renamed Fishers Buckeye Tempo. In 1979, all of the remaining Tempo owned stores were transferred to the Rasco Division of the company, and reopenedas Sarco Outlet Stores. They were owned by Gamble-Skomo and some of the stores were later re named Howard's Brandidiscount.

Gamble Skogmo was later purchard by Wickes Companies Inc, and the Sarco stores closed in 1981 after Wickes filed for bankruptcy.

That is about it, on the history of the company. You can find their catalogs on E-bay occassionally for their toys. You should try searching Cussins and Fearn Company on E-bay, you will be surprised with the things it comes up with.
