My family has had a Double Yellow Headed Amazon parrot since he was very young. He originally belonged to my great grandfather. He is now around 40. He is very aggressive. Whenever anyone walks past his cage he tries very hard to bite. When we try to feed him he constantly tries to bite us.
He will sometimes let people hold him, except for my mom. We think it is a boy, but we are not sure because he doesn't like women. He is more aggressive to women than men.
Also, how long do they live. I have read some places that they live to be 50, but I have read other places that they will live to be 100.
