know add a superchip? i'm looking at a "Superchips cortex performance engine management tuners" superchip on jc whitney auto parts. i want to know how much my performance would increase if i added that
 
Fords do not have removable chips. An external programmer is needed to change any of the parameters in the PCM - and any performance increase will depend on the changes that are instituted.
 
Superchips are good, and i know Bully Dog makes a good gas tuner... tuners are extremely effective on diesels, not so much on the gasoline engines but they do make a noticable difference. On a gas, the tuner will give you anywhere from 15-30 HP, and i'm guessing the Superchip has different performance levels. I have a Hypertech on my old body style Expedition, and it makes a small but noticeable difference on the performance. It will also give you up to a few extra MPG. Sounds to me like you're ballin', so go ahead and get one. Good luck buddy
