I have a yamaha seca 750 with a few issues.?

The main issue is that on a side cover where it gives bike details it says use 91 octane regular leaded gas.
now its an 83 and im pretty sure the switch from leaded to non leaded gas was made in like 75 or something near there.
so does anyone know if i need leaded gas, does it take unleaded gas or should i use lead substatute?
