...gives me a static ip? I have a windows home server. Verizon will not issue me an ip address. The modem only gives me a static ip. I need an assigned ip so I can access my windows home server from the Internet at my other office in another city. So to do this my server needs to have an assigned ip. But when i go to a site to check my ip. It tells me the ip for the modem not the computer. When I go into the modem it tells me a static ip. But I need a regular assigned ip address from Verizon. See my modem use to give me an assignedd ip but i must have changed something in the modem. Any idea how to fix this problem? O and I asked Verizon and they told me there was nothing they could do.
