Early this year, I was stopped for expired registration on the way home from work (from which I was laid off shortly after). I was young and scared and had no money, couldn't pay to get current registration, and never showed up to court because I thought they'd take me in right then and there. Yay. The job search is still on and no bites yet. When something does pop up, is something like this going to prevent me from getting hired? I've already talked with the department in question, there are no payment plans available, and as stated, I have ZERO money outside of what I can use to take care of myself. They informed me that this has turned gone into warrant. Awesome. I can't go "serve my time" at this point in time due to family, and I can't fork over $300 to pay this off. I just need to know if this is going to prevent me from obtaining employment. It's such a trivial friggin' citation.
