I have a Verizon Phone that has run out of its contract. Can I buy a phone on ebay..?

I have a verizon phone that the charger is broken. I went to the store and the only phone they were going to give me was one I didn't want because i'm not allowed to have internet on my phone. My phone has run out of its contract so can I buy a phone such as the EnV2 off on ebay and switch?

Noracat - Sounds good ill try it, and oh it's not my charger it's my phone. The charger won't stay in my phone :(
