I have a UPS connected to a fish tank filter. How could it be overloaded?

I have a relatively new UPS (uninterrupted power supply) attached to a fish filter. After it runs for a few days, it starts beeping and says that it is overloaded. It keeps the filter running fine. I highly doubt it could be overloaded.

Any ideas?

odds are it is strong enough to power a fish filter but make sure.
if the batteries go bad then the only solution is to change them. you can order the batteries from a place like batteries plus or any other battery dealer.
if you change them and it still beeps the ups is bad and needs to be replaced.

What is the continuous use rating on the UPS. Maybe it is a small wimpy one? Maybe it is not rated for continuous service. Maybe the AC power to the UPS is being interrupted somehow, like a bad connection to the wall outlet.
