i have a signed harry potter and the goblet of fire 1st edition hardback book .........?

eBay. I'd compare the prices on their or look at similar things and see how much they are going for.
 
first of all, i wouldn't sell it yet. if you hold onto it for a long time (like at least 10 years) the value will go up a lot. right now, a lot of people have first editions, especially of harry potter. the signed aspect might make the value go up but i'd wait. you could use ebay of course...search on there first for similar items (other signed harry potter books probably) and then price yours accordingly.
 
eBay would probably be the best place to sell it. Look at this page to see what the prices go for exactly. Looks like they differ depending on the edition, condition, etc. There were recently scams on eBay with books that weren't really signed by J.K. Rowling so you may need to prove it's authentic.
