i have a sharp pain in my upper left abdominal just below my ribcage, i'm concerned, help?

any advice on what it could be, because i am concerned, but hospitols are expensive, and i want to know before i go in.
FYI: it has been keeping my off running for two weeks now. I'm not a big fan of spicy foods, and I haven't vomited yet. it just hurts really bad. and they all come out random and they hurt A lot. and it made me cry today.
