I have a seatbelt ticket and failed to appear in court in LA county. What do I do?

I received a seat belt ticket back in Dec and failed to go to court. Now they have raised the fine and my license is likely suspended. My new court date isn't til April. What do I do to avoid having a suspended license without paying this huge fine! In the meantime can i still drive?
