i have a regular stereo, can i connect this to my lcd hd tv?

its a big stereo i got 4 years ago and i was wandering if i could connect that to my tv. so is there a cord i can get so that my tv sound plays out the stereo speakers. is there any way. if so please name it. if it is a cord i need please name a cord or point me into the right direction
