I have a question regarding work....?

I work for a person who is very controlling. I am on hourly pay but he calls me at night and on the weekends. Do I have a right not answer the phone since I am off the clock?
 
You don't have to answer your phone, but you would be telling your boss that you are not dependable.
 
You have every right not to answer. If your boss places you "on call", then answer. But in many states, if you are paced "on call" by your employer, they must pay you for the time that you are at their disposal.
