I've gotten so much better at composition in the past few months, but there's something that still confuses me a bit.
Whenever I bring a design (usually with a centered figure or something) to my art teacher, she always yells at me about it being poor composition, and "Oh, you must have gotten that from that terrible DeviantART."
Yeah, I have a dA, but I've been doing the centered figure composition thing long before I got it. How can I make a centered figure composition more interesting, how can I make it work?
Also, how do you make a good composition on a square canvas? It's tough sometimes.. What works?
Post examples maybe?
