Air Traffic Controler 15Q.? I am in the process of joining the Army and I have pinned down two particular jobs that'd I'd be very happy with. From what I understand...to a very vague extent, both those jobs "should" come up here and/or there in availabillity. I've read some saying they are both in demand. However if there was a demand I think a bonus would be included and I have found none.
My concern is my asvab scores. I have a GT and ST score of 104. Now, from what I found, both those jobs are infact available to me. BUT!!!!, I found one site that goes into detail saying that the asvab score requirements are for those who took their asvab on or after 2002.... Then it went on to list what scores I'd need if I took the test before 2002. I took the asvab way back in '99 (sophmore yr). The score requirements for before then, DQ me from the jobs.
So...WHAT DO I DO??? I'm looking for someone with actual know how of this. Like a recruiter or someone who had this happen to them, etc. I will retake asvab if I have to, but I'm worried my score will be lower. I don't care about opening more doors. 68W is what I was interested in doing in the first place, then found 15Q later on and decided I like both.
I don't even know if my vision would be cleared for the 15Q as I haven't been to MEPS yet.
What are my options? Other then the obvious of either retaking asvab and/or picking different MOS. Am I reading things wrong? Will I still be qualified for said jobs tho my asvab scores were 10 yrs ago as of 2 days ago?
