Ok, here's the problem: I am under 24, not married, nor do I have any children. I am actually 22, and have been on my own and claiming myself since i was 18. I really would like to know why I need to give my school all my parents information. It seems like the school needs to know everything about my parents. But why?
I've talked to my schools financial aid department and no one had any answers for me. I'm so confused. I'm 22, why do they need my parents birth certificates and social security cards, and why since I've applied for financial aid before do I need to re-due all of this again?
If anyone can shed some light into my situation I'd really appreciate any advice.
