question...? well, today i went for a bike ride with my friends and I accidentally hit the curb. As most people know, when something stops, the thing on it goes flying. Well, I did, and landed on the metal bar of my bike. The catch, though? I landed on it, with my legs apart. My vaginal lip is ridiculously swollen now, what should i do?!

Um ouch! Not much you can do but let it heal, take a warm bath (not hot!) and don't wear anything tight for awhile. Take some ibuprofen. Oh and no bike riding for a long time!

Sounds painful!

You usually treat swelling with RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. So don't do anything that could worsen the injury. Hold an ice pack on it (wrap it up in a washcloth if it's too cold). Press the ice pack tightly (but not tight enough to cause throbbing) to achieve compression. And you can't really elevate it, haha... but if you sprain your ankle or something in the future, remember to elevate it!

Otherwise, you can always take some Ibuprofen (Advil) to reduce the swelling. Good luck!
