i have a question about the xbox 360 dash board?

well i stuck my game in on my xbox right while i was about to clikc A and start it i hit yellow by mastake WITCH IS THE Y BUTTOn i hit yellow and it said download game i clicked it and it started downloading the game i had in the xbox it finished then after i thought i can play the game but all it did is take me to maps and crap so i can down load .. ...

y did it down load the game and can there be any way i can play it??
