help me please

The messages are normally threaded. If you text someone then they text you back then you text them again it is like an IM and has the whole conversation on one page. Last night it started this problem where everytime I message the person my message gets sent to the top of the conversation and if they reply it automatically gets sent to the bottom. Its not going back and forth like it should. Im guessing this is a setting, so does anybody know how to fix it? Thanks.
