So I am a medical marijuana card holder and one of the clinics advocates self cultivation and they give a free clone plant for first time patients. So the plant is still in it's vegetative state, it needs 18-24 hours of light in this state. What I want to know is what type of light bulb should I use? I have a friend who uses a red light for his plants, I bought one, but it's just a normal red light. Can I use just any type of light bulb or do I need a specific type? Does the type of light bulb just help the plant grow better or does it an essential part of growing the plant?
