I have a question about illuminated entry on a 2006 Jeep Liberty?

I bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport last week, and the illuminated entry isn't working. I've been reading the owner's manual, and I'm guessing that the multi-function control lever isn't in the correct position.

Can someone tell me where that multi-function control lever is? It's really bugging me that I can't see what I'm doing in the dark when I enter my Jeep.

If the lever's not the case, what could also be causing this illuminated entry problem?

Also, how do I turn on the rear cargo light, the light that's above the inside of the trunk?

it's to the left of the steering wheel on the lever that controls your lights. There is a twist able ring that allows you to turn the interior light on and off, and you can also set it to a "door open" mode
